A great little place. In The Atkinson/library/museum/theatre. Called and had Welsh Rarebit and bacon with a coffee. Slightly expensive but I would definitely have it again. Spot on. Recommended. Then make sure you look round the rest of the building
I'm almost scared to say A Great Little Place is one of the places to eat in Southport as it already gets too busy and I would like to eat there again!
Popped into The Atkinson today and tried their chicken & bacon wrap (they have a cute little cafe called 'A Great Little Place') which put a smile on my grumpy little face for half an hour. Surprisingly spacious when you step inside (I sat outdoors last summer just watching all the pretty girls pass by) and it had a really nice atmosphere indoors. Plenty of friendly helpful staff meant I got served really quickly, but there are loads of little comfy corners to offer some lovely private areas to hang out in. I might go back tomorrow, it was nice
Love calling here for breakfast or lunch.Visit regularly with a friend for lunchThe food is excellent...I love the Ploughman's Wrap.It is reasonably priced too.The staff are very friendly. The cakes look so good but not got round to tasting them yet
Just in there for a pre-show beer.Service was good, quickly getting through the queue. Atmosphere , also good.
Very popular so usually busy but have always managed to get a seat. No need to book. A great meeting place for lunch, a stop gap between shopping or a pleasant meal before a performance at The Atkinson. The varied food is divine, and understand the amazing desserts are home made. Wonderful! Would recommend
We love coming in here after doing abit of shopping in Southport, the service from the staff, the cakes and coffee are all 5 Stars..
Wheelchair Model DiariesA Great Little Place(Based on Lord Street inside the Atkinson)A Great Little Place is a Social Enterprise creating opportunities for young autistic people to develop work skills for life, They are the winners of Southport Stars Cafe Of The Year 2023, and I was very excited to try it!I was invited for lunch at this lovely cafe, which is accessible from the Atkinson itself, or it does have an entrance at the front too with tables outside. The entrances are both accessible for wheelchair users, but the one through the Atkinson is much easier as its an automatic door, so I can use this when I am on my ownThe cafe has a great area at the back which is very spacious and a little quieter which I prefer, so I sat here and I was able to stay in my wheelchair and access the table comfortablyThe disabled toilet facilities are right near the cafe as well, and uses a Radar key entry system. The toilets are lovely and clean with plenty of room to turn in and a good drier too! (always a bonus)I was offered table service which was fantastic, as I find this much easier, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.I was with a friend for a catch up and we were both really hungry by the time we ordered, so we we’re grateful to see plenty of comforting filling food on the lunch menu! We both went for the Lancashire Cheese and Red Onion Panini, which was served with a tasty Homemade Creamy Coleslaw and some Kettle Chips. We had a San Pellegrino Lemon drink to help us cool down after shopping, and also a Chai Latte and a Cappuccino!I loved the fact there was wifi available, and also lots of plug sockets around for if you need to hook up! I will be returning here for a work lunch thats for sure!Lovely staff, Great facilities, Gorgeous food!10/10 I will definitely be back
